Only at a Cavalli show could a guy make a kaftan look acceptble, tie dyed shirts desirable or Miami Vice cool. For once this fashion week a show that looked right for the season, colours you would want to wear in the summer and styles that work for the hotter climate (well if you are not living in London that is) Echoing the hippe trend for next season in womens wear this collection was typically Cavalli, not for the shy and retiring wear with caution lol.
Milan Fashion Week: Burberry
•September 26, 2007 • Leave a CommentWell London was rather bleak when it came to menswear however they have not been forgotten at the Milan shows which kicked off on the 25th. Christopher Bailey’s standout show included some beautifully cut trench coats and slim suits with an air of London about them. Its hard to go wrong with Burberry at the moment , a quality show.
Marc’s Boys
•September 13, 2007 • Leave a CommentRetro geek chic is something that Marc Jacobs does well, after all it was his look before he went all Tom Ford on us. The collection as part of the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection showed 60s inspired slim suits with primary coloured pumps , ties and lego belts. The stand out pieces for me were the colbolt blue trench and the mismatched shirts. A really accessible range.
Something for the boys at Fashion Week
•September 11, 2007 • Leave a CommentPhillip Lim has long been a favorite of mine and his menswear is just a desirable as his womens. Sudo Safari with bold acents of colour made a look that has long been a no no look young and fresh. You can all breathe a sigh of reilf as their was no sign of the super skinny totally unflattering on most, jean phew
Instead trousers were loose and turned up, dropped waist with a skinny belt. A great collection.
